3.9. Lifting platforms for disabled people
The development of GOST 34682.1-2020 based on the application of EN 81-40 aims to contribute to the elimination of technical barriers that arise in international trade, including between the member states of the Agreement on the implementation of a coordinated policy in the field of standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation. In order to ensure that the structure of this standard is consistent with that of EN 81-40, this standard has retained as far as possible the numbering of the structural elements of EN 81-40.
The EN 81-40 adopted as a basis contains modern safety requirements for the device and installation of lifting platforms for the disabled and people with limited mobility, reflecting the achievements of international best practices. GOST 34682.1-2020 is the regulatory framework for a new generation of lifting platforms, taking into account advanced designs and technologies.
