The concrete cover thickness meter POISK-2.6 is designed for operational quality control of reinforcement of reinforced concrete products and structures by the eddy current method during inspection of buildings and structures, during technological control at enterprises and construction sites.
The POISK 2.6 device is used to localize areas of reinforcement before measuring the strength of concrete by various methods (ultrasonic, shock-impulse, pull-off with spalling and spalling of the rib) to eliminate errors.
Operating modes of the thickness gauge:
determination of reinforcement projections onto the surface of the structure,
simultaneous measurement of cover thickness and reinforcement diameter with unknown reinforcement parameters,
measuring the thickness of the concrete cover at a known diameter,
determination of the diameter of the reinforcement with a known cover layer,
determination of the diameter at deep reinforcement (over 70 ... 90 mm, depending on the diameter of the reinforcement) using the standard-laying method, when the main method is inoperative.

The eddy current method implemented in the device provides the simultaneous determination of the concrete cover thickness and the unknown reinforcement diameter without using a standard-laying, allowing to inspect structures before the concrete cover restoration with maximum accuracy and high speed even in the absence of technical documentation on them, as well as making reliable measurements on sections of structures with dense reinforcement (with a minimum spacing of the reinforcement)
