Ultrasonic flaw detector USD-46FR on phased arrays combines the use of classical FR transducers with mathematical processing of signals using the method of digital signal focusing. Collection of A-scans of all combinations of receiving and transmitting elements (Full Matrix Capture) and signal processing using TFM/Total Focusing Method eliminated the need for manual focusing of beams by the operator at different depths, i.e. to. the image is automatically focused on each point of the S-scan.
The USD-46FR flaw detector implements a unique technology for calculating all beams from the prism geometry: it allows the operator to quickly load the required combination of the transducer DF and the prism model, thus obtaining a scan pattern already pre-calculated for all beams, with accurate reflector coordinates over the entire S-scan.
In addition to the version with FR, the USD-46FR flaw detector has built-in software for a conventional classic ultrasonic flaw detector. Switching between versions is carried out instantly with the preservation of all device settings, which allows, if necessary, to conveniently confirm the results of the FR using single-channel sensors without using a second device or rebooting the device.
