The VID-345 GTU flaw detector implements a combination of magnetic and eddy current methods for detecting defects, which makes it possible to control products with a rough, corroded surface and work through a layer of insulating coating of variable thickness without additional restructuring.

Typical objects of control - pipes, pipelines, oil and gas pipelines, vessels, pressure vessels, energy production facilities, parts of structures, machines and mechanisms.

Flaw detector VID-345 works:

• on a rough, corroded surface (used pipes, details of structures, mechanisms);
• on a wet, dirty surface;
• on surfaces with variable thickness of the insulating coating without additional adjustment.

The flaw detector can be operated in two modes:

• search mode for stress-corrosion cracks, with simultaneous determination of their depth and control of the thickness of the insulating coating - is used when the thickness of the insulating coating is from 0 to 4 mm;
• search mode for stress-corrosion cracks - used when the thickness of the insulating coating is more than 4 mm.
